Citi Prestige enhances airport limo booking process (with good news for parents)

Citi Prestige Cardholders can now enjoy a simpler booking process for airport limo rides, and parents will be pleased to know that child seats are now almost 60% cheaper.

Citibank has rolled out an enhanced limo booking process for Citi Prestige Cardholders, which bypasses the temperamental digital concierge in favour of a more straightforward approach.

We are pleased to bring you a more seamless travel experience. Booking your next airport limousine transfer is now simpler with the enhanced booking experience on your Citi Mobile App

There’s also good news for parents, as the cost of a child seat — which could be almost as expensive as a Grab ride to the airport — has been cut by more than 50%.

Citi Prestige enhances limo booking process

Citi Prestige Cardholders can now make their limo bookings by logging into the Citi Mobile App, navigating to their card page, and tapping the Prestige Limo button.

This will redirect them to the TBR Global website, where they can fill in their details, select the vehicle type and add-ons, and make payment.

Now, I don’t have a Citi Prestige Card (not since 2019), so you’ll have to forgive me if my knowledge of the booking process is somewhat fuzzy. But from what I understand, the previous system required customers to book limo rides through the Aspire Lifestyle digital concierge, which was buggy and frustrating. Many cardholders often had to call in to make their bookings, defeating the purpose of digital convenience.

This new process cuts out the Aspire layer, and based on early reports, works pretty well.

Child seats are now much cheaper

Adding a child seat to your “free” limo ride could cost almost as much as a ride to the airport!

If you’re a parent, one of the pain points of these complimentary airport limo transfers is that even though child seats are required by law, they’re usually an extra charge. With the Citi Prestige’s limo rides, child seats used to cost S$27 — almost as expensive as a Grab ride to the airport!

Fortunately, that fee has now been reduced to a more reasonable S$12 (and you’re perfectly at liberty to bring your own, to avoid the fee altogether).

It is mandatory by law in Singapore to have a baby and child seat for children below height of 1.35m. The chauffeur reserves the right to decline pickups if a baby or child appears without Cardmember’s prior request for a seat.

Each child or baby seat costs S$12.00 and will be charged at point of booking. This charge will not be covered in the reimbursement by Citibank.

How does the Citi Prestige limo benefit work?

Enjoy complimentary limo rides with the Citi Prestige

Citi Prestige Cardholders who spend at least S$12,000 per calendar quarter will receive two complimentary airport limo rides, which can be used for airport pick-ups or drop-offs.

Cardholders will be charged for the limo ride at the time of booking, and reimbursed by the end of the following quarter if they meet the minimum spend criteria.

The S$12,000 minimum spend is defined as follows:

“Qualifying Spend” refers to any retail transactions (including internet purchases) which do not arise from:

(i) any Equal Payment Plan (EPP) purchases
(ii) refunded / disputed / unauthorised / fraudulent retail purchases
(iii) Quick Cash and other instalment loans
(iv) Citi PayLite / Citi Flexibill / cash advance / quasi-cash transactions / balance transfers / annual card membership fees / interest / goods and services taxes
(v) bill payments made using the Eligible Card as a source of funds
(vi) late payment fees
(vii) any other form of service/ miscellaneous fees
(viii) Citi PayAll transactions where the customer is not charged the Citi PayAll service fee.

Transactions like charitable donations, government services, insurance premiums and utilities are not excluded. Even though these transactions will not earn any points, they will still count towards the minimum spend for limo rides (corroborated by numerous data points in the Citi Prestige chat)— so you might as well charge them here.

Citi PayAll spending will also count towards the S$12,000 qualifying spend, provided the service fee is paid. That should provide an extra incentive to participate in the ongoing promotion for income tax season, which offers cardholders a 1.9% fee and S$80 eCapitaVoucher.

Citi PayAll offering discounted 1.9% fee and S$80 eCapitaVoucher for tax payments

Do note that you can make the booking before meeting the S$12,000 qualifying spend, and the limo ride can be for any future date. For example:

  • On 5 January 2026, I book an airport limo ride for 1 June 2026
  • On 1 March 2026, I meet the S$12,000 minimum spend
  • In Q2 2026, I’ll receive the rebate

However, rides must be booked in the same quarter they are earned. For example:

  • On 1 March 2026, I meet the S$12,000 minimum spend
  • On 1 April 2026, I book an airport limo ride for 1 June 2026
  • I will not receive any reimbursement, because I did not meet the minimum spend in the April to June period (I was supposed to book the limo rides by 31 March 2026)

To answer a common question, you will earn miles on the limo booking expense, even though it’s later reimbursed. The expenditure will also count towards your year-end relationship bonus.

Conclusion

Citi Prestige Cardholders can now enjoy a simplified limo booking process through the Citi Mobile app, which should be a relief for those frustrated by the hit-and-miss digital concierge.

There’s also good news for parents, as the cost of a child seat has been cut significantly from S$27 to S$12.

The minimum spend for limo rides remains at a hefty S$12,000, but Citi PayAll transactions do count towards this threshold, making it somewhat more achievable.
