KrisFlyer Redemption Sale: 15% off Premium Economy and Economy awards, and 10% off Scoot awards

Singapore Airlines has launched a new edition of the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale, which offers 15% off selected Premium Economy awards to the USA, as well as most Economy Saver awards in its network. There is also a smaller 10% discount for Scoot Saver awards too. 

Tickets must be booked by 20 September 2026, but unlike Spontaneous Escapes, which require travel the following month, travel can take place from 1 November 2026 to 31 May 2027, giving you much more time to plan ahead. That said, they’re strictly non-refundable, so don’t book unless your plans are locked in. 

To pre-empt the inevitable question: this promotion does not replace Spontaneous Escapes, and we should still expect to see a release around the 15th of this month.

A 15% discount isn’t as good as what we saw during the previous edition in March 2026, when members could save 20% off Premium Economy and Economy awards. However, this is the first time that Scoot has been included in a Global Redemption Sale, so that’s something at least.

Here are the key details of the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale: 

• 15% off selected Singapore Airlines Economy Saver awards

• Blackout dates apply, and vary by carrier and cabin
  • SIA Economy: 1 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, 13-31 May 2027

  • Scoot: 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, 1-14 February 2027
• Waitlisting is not allowed

These awards can only be booked on Singapore Airlines or Scoot websites or mobile apps.

For Singapore Airlines, these awards fall under the Promo award category. Therefore, just like Spontaneous Escapes, all awards will be strictly non-changeable and non-cancellable.

All Scoot awards are non-cancellable to begin with, so you don’t lose any flexibility here.

With the travel period several months away, there’s a lot more that can go wrong. So if you plan to proceed, I’d highly advise you to purchase travel insurance that covers miles and points bookings.

15% off Singapore Airlines Economy Saver awards

Singapore Airlines is offering 15% off Economy Saver awards to the following destinations.

This pretty much covers the entire network, and savings can be enjoyed even if Singapore is not your origin or destination. For example, awards between Sydney and Frankfurt via Singapore will also enjoy the discount. 

Compared to the previous sale in March 2026, Auckland and Johannesburg are no longer included, but new destinations such as Madrid, Riyadh and Western Sydney are all featured, together with Sapporo and Rome, which were missing the last time round.

15% off Singapore Airlines Premium Economy Saver awards

Singapore Airlines is offering 15% off Premium Economy Saver awards to the following destinations.

Just like the last sale, it’s a relatively small selection — and all USA destinations (no wonder the Premium Economy cabin is set to see a huge cut once the A350-900ULR refits are done!). Los Angeles drops from the list, but San Francisco and New York mean the West and East coasts are covered.

10% off Scoot Saver awards

Scoot is offering 10% off Scoot Saver awards to the following destinations. Do note that blackout dates and flight restrictions apply in certain cases.

Attractive options include Athens and Vienna for 21,600 miles — assuming your body can tolerate a long-haul flight in Scoot — and on the other end of the spectrum, numerous Malaysian cities are available at just 1,350 miles.

Spontaneous Escapes is still happening

In case you’re worried that this Global Redemption Sale is replacing Spontaneous Escapes— don’t.

In previous years, Singapore Airlines has run Spontaneous Escapes even in months where the Global Redemption Sale happened, and its own website confirms that we can expect to see Spontaneous Escapes on 15 September 2026, with the usual 30% off selected Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class awards.

In any case, there is no overlap between the travel periods; this month’s Spontaneous Escapes will be valid for travel between 1-31 October 2026, while the Global Redemption Sale is for travel between 1 November 2026 and 31 May 2027.

How does this compare to previous sales?

The first edition of the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale took place in October 2023, featuring a 25% discount on all Economy Class and selected Premium Economy Class awards. 

Since then it’s become a biannual event, though the discount has unfortunately been trending downwards. The current discount of 15% is the smallest on record.

It’s also worth remembering that we had a KrisFlyer devaluation in November 2025 so we’re dealing with a higher baseline now — except in the case of Asia and Australia Economy Saver awards, which actually fell by 5%.

Conclusion

The latest edition of the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale offers 15% off Singapore Airlines Premium Economy and Economy Class awards, and 10% off Scoot awards.

The big advantage here over Spontaneous Escapes is that you can book travel as far ahead as May 2027, as opposed to the usual “travel next month” restriction that Spontaneous Escapes has. However, with awards being non-changeable and non-refundable, you need to be sure of your travel plans before pulling the trigger.

Sadly, there are no Business Class deals this time round, so you’ll need to wait till Spontaneous Escapes for that.
