Singapore Airlines has launched a new Kris+ transfer promotion as part of September’s Miles Paradise campaign, which offers at least a 10% bonus when converting KrisFlyer miles to KrisPay miles.
Why “at least” 10%? For every 1,000 KrisPay miles converted, members receive a randomised bonus between 100 and 10,000 KrisPay miles. I don’t need to tell you, however, that the odds of landing at the top of that range are incredibly slim!
The element of chance makes this a far worse deal than what we saw this time last year, when members earned an uncapped 20-30% bonus on conversions, no luck required.
Long story short, you can expect to get at least 1.1 cents per KrisFlyer mile — better than usual, but not by much.

Kris+ transfer bonus offer

From 8-30 September 2026, KrisFlyer members will receive a bonus of 100-10,000 KrisPay miles for every 1,000 KrisFlyer miles converted to KrisPay miles.
| Prize | Equivalent Bonus |
| 10,000 KrisPay miles | 1000% |
| 500 KrisPay miles | 50% |
| 300 KrisPay miles | 30% |
| 200 KrisPay miles | 20% |
| 150 KrisPay miles | 15% |
| 100 KrisPay miles | 10% |
To convert KrisFlyer miles, open the Wallet tab > Top-Up > KrisFlyer. Transfer at least 1,000 miles, and you’ll receive a game token under the Wallet tab > Kris+ Games.

Kris+ does not disclose the odds of winning each prize — though this madlad in the community seems determined to find out — but even if you’re lucky and win big, this gamified mechanism is nowhere as convenient as a simple transfer bonus. You need to make multiple transfers in blocks of 1,000 KrisPay miles, instead of making a single transfer at a flat rate.
All transfers from KrisFlyer to Kris+ are processed instantly, and are non-reversible. In other words, once miles go from KrisFlyer to Kris+, you can’t send them back (or that would basically be an “infinite miles” glitch)!
There is no cap on the maximum bonus that can be enjoyed, and miles inside Kris+ are valid for six months.
How does this compare to other redemption options?
It’s hard to say whether this is a good deal or not, because it all boils down to luck. You could get anywhere from 1.1 to 11 cents per mile, though it’s probably safer to assume the lower end of the spectrum.
Here’s how a value of 1.1 cents per mile compares to other alternatives. Do note that many of these are receiving a temporary boost as part of the KrisFlyer Miles Paradise campaign, which runs from now until 30 September 2026.

The best redemption option remains an award flight, but assuming you have a small number of expiring miles and no plans to travel, then Kris+ might be the best on-ground alternative. With more than 1,900 partner outlets in Singapore, it offers great liquidity, and redemptions start from as little as 10 KrisPay miles.

Earning miles via Kris+

While you shouldn’t be spending KrisFlyer miles at Kris+ merchants, you should certainly be earning them. All you need to do is:
- Scan the merchant’s Kris+ QR code
- Enter the amount to be paid, and press “Pay” to pay via Apple/Google Pay
Miles will be credited immediately upon completing the transaction, which makes Kris+ an excellent way of topping up a KrisFlyer balance.
Don’t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles earned to KrisFlyer within 21 days of the transaction, in their entirety. If you wait longer than 21 days, or spend any of the accrued miles, the balance will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rate of 100 miles = S$1.

A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button appears after every transaction. Alternatively, you can turn on the new auto-transfer feature, which will automatically deposit any miles earned from Kris+ into your KrisFlyer account.
What card should I use with Kris+?
In general, Kris+ retains the MCC of the underlying merchant (though there are some exceptions, most notably for travel agencies), so you can use whatever card you’d normally use for that particular merchant.
When in doubt, the following cards are the safest to use with Kris+, as they earn 3-4 mpd regardless of Kris+ merchant.
| 💳 Best Cards for Kris+ | ||
| Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
DBS Woman’s World CardApply |
4 mpd | Max. S$1K per c. month |
Citi Rewards + AmazeApply |
4 mpd | Max. S$1K per s. month. 1% admin fee for SGD payments. No bonuses for Citi Rewards Card alone. |
KrisFlyer UOB Credit CardApply |
3 mpd | No cap |
However, there are also other cards you can use for dining or retail that will earn up to 4 mpd, such as the HSBC Revolution or UOB Lady’s Cards. Refer to the post below for more details.
Don’t forget that all Kris+ payments must be made in-app via Apple or Google Pay.
Conclusion
From now till 30 September 2026, Kris+ is offering a sure-win prize of 100 to 10,000 KrisPay miles for every 1,000 KrisFlyer miles converted, which guarantees you a value of at least 1.1 cents per mile.
If you have a small number of miles that are due to expire soon, then this might be an opportunity to cash them out quickly. However, my advice would still be to save up for an award flight. Remember, you need to book your ticket before your miles expire; not necessarily fly. Travel can be up to 355 days in the future, which should give you plenty of time to lock something in.
