Expired

Trip.com's weekend sale is back, with PARKROYAL Pickering and AMOY Hotel the pick of the deals this time.

Trip.com’s latest weekend staycation sale is now live, and runs till end of day on 19 July 2021.

Trip.com Weekend Sale

Highlights this time round include the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering at S$140 nett, and two night offers for AMOY and Village Hotel Bugis at S$240 nett and S$190 nett respectively. The Clan Hotel might be worth a look at S$308 nett with S$100 of F&B credits, depending on circumstances.

These packages can be paid for with SRV, and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Room-only rates at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering are going for S$160 nett, for stays between 16 July and 30 September 2021. By adding the following promo codes, you can save a further S$20 off the price, reducing it to S$140 nett total (weekends included):

  • UOB cards: PICKERING
  • DBS/POSB cards: PARKROYAL

For comparison, the cheapest room-only rate I can find elsewhere starts at S$201 nett (Traveloka). A breakfast-inclusive rate starts from S$237 nett, but it’s still cheaper to book the Trip.com rate and add on two breakfasts at S$38++ (S$45 nett) per head.

Update: If you’re a GHA Platinum or Black member, you can find a very similar rate on the Discovery Loyalty website: S$125++ (S$147 nett). Booking here allows you to enjoy your perks like early check-in, late check-out, and room upgrades. Plus, you can earn Local Experiences too

AMOY Hotel: S$240 nett (2 nights)

I’ve never stayed at the AMOY Hotel before, but it must be doing something right if it’s ranked #16 on TripAdvisor among all hotels in Singapore.

2 nights in a Deluxe Room with breakfast are going for S$270 nett, versus S$455 nett on the official site. By adding the following promo codes, you can save a further S$30 off the price, reducing it to S$240 nett total (weekends included):

  • UOB cards: FAREAST
  • DBS/POSB cards: FAREAST30

This is valid for stays between 19 July and 29 December 2021, with black out dates from 24-26 December 2021.

Village Hotel Bugis: S$190 nett (2 nights)

If you’re not expecting 5-Star levels of comfort and ambiance, the Village Hotel Bugis is a good budget staycation option at S$190 nett for two nights. This books you into a 32 sqm Superior Room (one wonders why it’s called a “superior” room when it’s the lowest category in the hotel), for stays between 16 July to 30 December 2021.

Room-only rates on the official website start from S$243 nett for two nights.

The Clan Hotel: S$308 nett

Clan Hotel Review

I had a very good staycation at the newly-opened Clan Hotel, which boasts modern, comfortable rooms, an excellent gym and swimming pool, and an amazing (heated) jacuzzi tub.

Trip.com is offering a S$338 nett rate for a Deluxe Room that comes with S$100 F&B credits. By adding the following promo codes, you can save a further S$30 off the price, reducing it to S$308 nett total (weekdays only):

  • UOB cards: FAREAST
  • DBS/POSB cards: FAREAST30

This rate doesn’t include breakfast, however, so you’ll need to factor in S$36++ per person for that. Stays are valid from 19 July to 29 December 2021, with blackouts from 7-8 August and 24-26 December.

For comparison, breakfast-included rates on the official site start from S$369 nett, although it doesn’t hurt to check if you’re eligible for this special corporate rate that costs just S$315 nett for two nights (ask your HR).

Conclusion

All deals are available for booking till 19 July 2021, so take a quick look through and see if anything catches your fancy. Do note that certain packages may have limited availability each day, so you’ll need to play around with the dates if you don’t see the rate appearing at first.

Are we able to use the GHA benefits if we book through trip.com for the parkroyal at pickering?

Alvin

Could try to provide your membership details but no promises. After all benefits are only provided if you book direct.
