Malaysia Airlines “Be Enchanted by Australia” sale now on until 31 May 2018

Book these fares by 31 May 2018 and travel by 31 March 2019

Malaysia Airlines is now running a fare sale called “Be Enchanted by Australia”. Under this promotion, sale fares are only valid for travel to Australia and strangely Auckland too.

These fares must be booked by 31 May 2018 and tickets are valid for travel from now until 31 March 2019. You can see all the destinations on offer here. Purchases made through any of the links in this article generate a referral commission that supports the running of The Milelion.

Economy Class fares from S$438, Business Class from S$1,385

In this sale, Economy Class fares start from S$438 to Perth and at S$1,385 in Business Class to Perth as well. Here’s the full list of destinations which are on offer during this sale along with their prices:

At S$545 to Sydney in Economy Class and S$531 to Melbourne, that’s a rather decent Economy Class fare to Australia. Business Class fares aren’t too shabby either in this sale with Sydney priced at S$2,165 and Melbourne at S$2,141.

Economy Class on Malaysia Airlines Airbus A330-300s are laid out in an industry standard 2-4-2 and in Business Class it has the Thompson Aero seats in a staggered layout offering direct aisle access from most seats. This seat has been previously reviewed by Aaron here.

These fares are generally valid for mileage accrual and you can use to see which Frequent Flyer Program would earn you the most miles in the booking class your ticket is booked under. In my opinion, crediting your Malaysia Airlines flights to Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles program or British Airways Executive Club is a decent option rather than Malaysia Airlines own Enrich Frequent Flyer Program as the program got terribly devalued last year.

You can use the following cards to perform your booking on Malaysia Airlines website:

There was a sale of 2-to-go business class tickets not too long ago, and those offered better rates. But oh well…
