Use GrabPay credits with FavePay, earn 10X, GrabRewards, FavePay cashback

Earn 10X. Earn Cashback. Earn GrabRewards points. What's there not to like?

It’s a special time in the Singapore miles and points game, as the sheer proliferation of mobile wallets has created many unique opportunities for 10X everywhere. Even though the crazy days of the 8 mpd Citibank-Apple Pay promotion are over, there’s still rewards and double dipping to be had if you know where to look.

You can use GrabPay Credits on FavePay

One of the more puzzling tie ups in recent memory has been between GrabPay and FavePay. Wait a minute, you say. Aren’t they competitors? Well, sort of. But that hasn’t stopped them from enabling payment on FavePay through GrabPay credits.

This creates a great opportunity to earn 10X points (from topping up your GrabPay account with the DBS Woman’s World or other card that earns 10X online), plus GrabRewards points, plus FavePay cashback. And no, this isn’t some oversight by either platform that’s going to get nerfed- the banners in the app openly advertise this ability.

It’s super easy to link your GrabPay account to FavePay- just follow the instructions below.

Once done, you’ll be able to select GrabPay Credits as your form of payment.

How many points do I earn?

GrabRewards awards points for in-store GrabPay transactions according to the chart below:

While FavePay merchants award between 5-20% cashback on transactions.

Conclusion

Using GrabPay credits with FavePay lets you enjoy the best of both worlds- earning cashback and miles at the same time. At merchants which accept both Mileslife and GrabPay (e.g. Daily cut) you’re going to want to do your sums carefully and figure out which one benefits you more, remembering that the OCBC Titanium Rewards card is currently earning 6 mpd on Mileslife.

Using GrabPay more frequently could also help you qualify for elite status with GrabRewards, which launched some new benefits recently.

Has anyone tried using citibank rewards and earned 4mpd for grab(pay/car etc)?

Dax

No 4mpd. Try wwmc as per the article.

Wayne

Are you sure? Pretty sure I’ve seen Citibank Rewards mentioned as earning 10X/4mpd for topping up GrabPay.

L

Either u believe or try a small sum yourself… I am using the Amex krisflyer for grab, 3.2mpd for first $200

AK

Yep! I’ve been using my AMEX KrisFlyer to top up grab credits getting 3.2mpd.

Keith

Citibank Rewards earns 10x points with GrabPay. That’s the sole purpose of my Rewards card (topping up GrabPay) after the 8x miles with Apple Pay ended. The good thing is that the top ups are in multiples of $10 so the 10x points are maximized.

J

Yea, got 10x with citi rewards too.

Jonathan

Citi rewards master or visa?

Belinda

Hi, I have messaged posb/dbs via the ibanking messaging in Jan 2019, the cso said grabpay top up was excluded from 10x points for wwmc. 1x point is still awarded. Anyone experiencing the same?

Phil

Thanks for the heads up!

andrew

anyone knows if uob preferred platinum visa gets 10X points with grabpay?

Keith

No. I’ve tried it.

Ck

Does dbs wwmc still award 10x points for topping up grabpay.? My Nov bonus seems to exclude grab pay top up.

Stok

does citi reward still provide 10x on grab pay?

Leroy

Is there any card left that would give 4mpd on Grabpay Credits Topup?
