From 11 March to 25 April 2021, new-to-bank Citibank customers will receive a 1-night staycation at the Andaz Singapore (with breakfast for two) upon approval for the Citi PremierMiles Card. They simply need to make one qualifying transaction within 30 days of approval, with no minimum spend.
This replaces the previous gift of a 1-night stay at the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.

This offer is valid for Citi PremierMiles Card applications received between 11 March to 25 April 2021. New-to-bank cardholders who receive approval by 25 May 2021 and make at least one qualifying transaction within 30 days of approval (of any amount) will receive the staycation gift.

The qualifying transaction can be pretty much anything, except:
- any Equal Payment Plan (EPP) purchases,
- refunded/disputed/unauthorised/fraudulent retail purchases,
- Quick Cash and other instalment loans,
- Citi PayLite/Citi Flexibill/cash advance/quasi-cash transactions/balance transfers/annual card membership fees/interest/goods and services taxes,
- bill payments made using the Eligible Card as a source of funds,
- late payment fees and (vii) any other form of service/ miscellaneous fees
Eligible customers will receive a staycation voucher for the Andaz Singapore, valid from 1 April to 22 December 2021. The following blackout dates apply:
- 8-9 August 2021
- 17-20 August 2021
- 30 September- 3 October 2021
- 8-14 October 2021
Do note that this stay will not be eligible for World of Hyatt points or elite status credits.

Alternative: S$350 cash
If you’re considered new-to-bank for Citi cards, you should note that you’re also eligible for an alternative gift of S$350 cash, should you apply for any of the cards below instead.

So it basically boils down to which gift you value more. For perspective, it’s possible to book a breakfast-included rate at the Andaz with S$100 F&B dining credit for S$320 nett on Klook, and bring the price down further with your SRV.
Conclusion
If I were new to bank, I’d personally lean towards the S$350 cash instead. However, do note the cash offer is not available for the Citi PremierMiles Card, so if that’s the one you really want, the Andaz offer is your only choice.
