HSBC has announced its latest set of WOW Weekend staycation deals, which run from 13-15 May 2022. Bookings go live at midnight tonight (i.e. 12 a.m on Friday 13 May), with special deals for the first 50 or 100 bookings at each hotel.
Participating properties this time round include the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, Conrad Centennial Singapore, and the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay.
HSBC WOW Weekend Sale |
Bookings must be made with a HSBC credit card, and I’d highly recommend using the HSBC Revolution to earn 4 mpd, capped at the first S$1,000 per calendar month.
If you don’t have a HSBC Revolution yet, you can get S$200 cashback when you sign up as a new-to-bank customer and spend at least S$500 by the end of the month after approval. A further S$30 cashback can be earned for each supplementary card approved by 15 August 2022 with one qualifying transaction made (capped at five supplementary cards).

Conrad Review |
The first 50 bookings will pay S$295++ (S$347 nett) or S$335++ (S$394 nett) for a weekday/weekend stay in a Deluxe Room, with an automatic upgrade to the Grand Deluxe category and breakfast for two.
If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$320++ (S$377 nett) or S$360++ (S$424 nett) for a weekday/weekend stay, with no room upgrade. Breakfast for two is still included.
This marks a debut for the Conrad Centennial on WOW Weekend deals, and a S$295++ rate with breakfast is significantly lower than the S$390++ rates (without breakfast) I’m seeing during this period.
While a room upgrade is always nice, you might want to moderate your expectations a bit: a Grand Deluxe Room is the same size as a Deluxe Room, the key difference is the floor and view.
How to book
Bookings can be made via this link, which will only go live from 13 May. The link is the same for the first 50 bookings or 51st onwards.
Hotel review
I stayed at the Conrad Centennial back in March 2021, to utilise my free night voucher on the AMEX KrisFlyer Ascend. It was one of my more enjoyable staycations, and I particularly liked the service in the lounge as well as breakfast at Oscars. The Conrad may not be as spanking new as the Hilton Singapore Orchard, but can more than hold its own.

PR Marina Bay Review |
The first 50 bookings will pay S$238++ (S$280 nett) for a one-night stay in a Premier Room, with breakfast for two.
If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$280++ (S$330 nett), with breakfast still included. What’s slightly weird is that the HSBC landing page lists “access to gym and swimming pool, complimentary internet access and complimentary parking” as benefits for the first 50 bookings, but not for the 51st onwards. I wouldn’t get too worked up about this though, because it’s probably just a bad copy paste job. All guests at the hotel enjoy free internet and parking based on my experience.
The Premier Room is one category above the lead-in Urban Room, measuring in at 33-35 sqm. A rate of S$280 nett would represent a particularly good deal on the weekends, especially if you could find space during the June school holidays (reference price: S$450 nett with breakfast included).

Hotel review
Matthew stayed in a regular room at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay in June 2021, and I did a separate suite review during National Day that year.
Aesthetically speaking, it’s one of the most gorgeous hotels I’ve ever laid eyes on, and the Urban Suite was tastefully decorated, with more than enough space to host a viewing party (just a shame they didn’t show the same kind of love to the bathrooms, which received minimal attention during the renovation).
Breakfast was surprisingly good (after my stay at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering I didn’t have very high expectations), and if you’re a GHA member, this can count towards one of the three (yes, three) brands you need to stay in to qualify/requalify for Titanium status.

Ritz-Carlton Review |
The first 100 bookings will pay S$650++ (S$765 nett) for a Club Kallang Room, which comes with full club lounge privileges. At the Ritz-Carlton Singapore, this includes:
- Five culinary presentations daily (breakfast, mid-day snacks, afternoon tea, evening canapes, desserts)
- Complimentary limo drop-off within the vicinity
- All-day champagne
This isn’t the lowest we’ve ever seen club rooms go for; Ritz-Carlton regularly ran flash sales last year where you could book a club room from S$624 nett. Of course, it’s not a fair comparison since the borders have now reopened, and demand is presumably up.
Do note that the Ritz-Carlton Millenia does not participate in Marriott Bonvoy, so you won’t be able to earn any points or elite night credits for your stay.

I’ve yet to visit the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, but Matthew has, and files this report.

All deals go live at midnight tonight, but unfortunately cannot be booked via email. This means you’ll need to stay up late and it’s fastest fingers first, so good luck and good hunting.
I’d say the Conrad Centennial and PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay deals are the better ones of the lot, though with Singapore’s borders open and tourists returning, we’re not seeing the kind of fire sale prices from 2020 and 2021.
