Only two months after saying that it was all done with COVID-era extensions, Singapore Airlines has announced a surprise extension for KrisFlyer miles, as well as KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards and PPS Rewards.
KrisFlyer miles will be extended until at least 31 July 2023, while KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards and PPS Rewards will be extended till 31 December 2023.

Singapore Airlines will extend any of the following KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards expiring in 2022 or 2023:
- 1,500 KrisPay miles
- 25% bonus KrisFlyer miles
- 50% bonus KrisFlyer miles
- 5,000 KrisFlyer miles redemption discount
- Double KrisFlyer miles
- Short-haul advance upgrade
- Premium Economy advance upgrade
These rewards will now expire on 31 December 2023. The extension will be processed automatically, with no action required on the member’s part.
Extensions will be reflected by 31 December 2022.
KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards can be used for flights departing after 31 December 2023, provided the Reward is applied on or before 31 December 2023. For example, I can use the short-haul advance upgrade for a flight departing on 1 May 2024, provided I book by 31 December 2023.

KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards and PPS Rewards are two different ladders, available to KrisFlyer and PPS Club members respectively.
Rewards are earned from accruing Elite miles (KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) or PPS Value (PPS Rewards). For the avoidance of doubt, you cannot earn across ladders- if you’re a PPS Club member, for example, you will not earn KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards.
KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards are currently awarded for the first 100,000 Elite miles earned within a single calendar year, starting at 1,000 Elite miles.

Conclusion
Singapore Airlines will be extending its milestone rewards for KrisFlyer and PPS Club members until 31 December 2023, giving members additional time to use them.
I doubt we’ll see a further extension after this, so be sure to use your rewards soon!
It’s looking good for Krisflyer Gold status to be extended to end of 2023 at this rate. Just one more surprise left…
KFG Status is already extended to +12 months from the original expiry month.
I got the status on April 2022, so it will be expired on April 2024.
Doubt that it will be extended further though 🙂
