New HSBC welcome offer: S$150 eCapitaVoucher and S$150 cashback or 20,000 miles

Expired

From now till 8 November 2023, enjoy a S$150 eCapitaVoucher with a new HSBC credit card from SingSaver, plus S$150 cashback or up to 20,000 bonus miles.

HSBC credit cards are back on SingSaver once again, with one of the best welcome offers we’ve seen yet.

From now till 8 November 2023, new-to-bank applicants will receive a S$150 eCapitaVoucher upon approval for selected HSBC credit cards. This is further stackable with HSBC’s regular welcome offers, namely:

  • HSBC Revolution, Advance, Visa Platinum: S$150 cashback or Samsonite luggage
  • HSBC TravelOne Card: 20,000 bonus miles

I’d consider the HSBC Revolution to be an absolutely essential part of my miles strategy, so if you don’t have one yet, then this is as good an opportunity as any.

❓ New-to-bank

New-to-bank cardholders are defined as those who:

  • Do not hold any principal HSBC credit card (except the HSBC TravelOne Card or HSBC Visa Infinite)
  • Have not cancelled a principal HSBC credit card in the past 12 months prior to application (except the HSBC TravelOne Card or HSBC Visa Infinite)

In other words, someone who only holds a HSBC TravelOne Card and/or HSBC Visa Infinite will count as a new-to-bank cardholder.

You can only receive the gift for a maximum of one card, and approvals must be received by 14 days after 8 November 2023.

Application steps

  1. Apply via the links in this article
  2. Complete the SingSaver Rewards Redemption Form that is sent to your email, within the first 14 days of application. Ensure that the name, mobile number and email address submitted to SingSaver are the same as that used in the credit card application
  3. Provide HSBC with your consent to receive marketing and promotional materials, and do not revoke it before the gift is fulfilled

HSBC gift

Since the HSBC Advance and HSBC Visa Platinum are cashback cards, I’m going to focus on the sign-up offers for the HSBC Revolution and HSBC TravelOne Card instead.

Once again, a reminder that you will only be eligible for the sign-up gifts if you consent to receive marketing or promotional materials from HSBC at the time of application, and have not revoked that consent at the time of gift crediting.

Another HSBC bait that has no bait for some after you try to put your foot in.

Ben Jamin

Yep. Underwhelming to say the least. I’d almost be tempted to get the Revolution but 5943 is excluded and that’s my go to store for $12K spending per year. Just more orphan points. Hard no here.

trainer

surprised to hear that. the revolution is one of the cards i spend on the most, since it saves my 4 mpd cap on the UOB PPV/VS. groceries, dining and hotel/airlines are an easy way to max out $1k per month > extra 48k miles per year with no annual fee to worry about.

i’m annoyed i didnt sign up during one of these offers though, $150 voucher with no min spend is a no brainer to me.

Elizabeth

Can this be stacked with the card bundle rewards for Everyday Global Account welcome rewards? I.e. open HSBC EGA then apply credit card thru singsaver.

Tiak

The 1% cashback on card spending is insignificant, since there is a monthly cap of $1000 bonus spending on the Revolution card, and 1% works out to only $10. However, the real benefit is that on top of that, with an inward payment/salary crediting to HSBC Everyday Global Account of $2000 per month ($5000 for Premier members) and only 5 HSBC card transactions of any value, you also get 1% on ALL GIRO transactions paid through HSBC Global Everyday Account of up to $300 ($500 for premier customers) per month. This can work out to a significant amount every month.… Read more »
