In January 2023, Singapore Airlines launched a partnership with restaurant booking platform Quandoo, which allows KrisFlyer members to earn miles for reservations at more than 15,000 restaurants across 12 countries worldwide.
The regular offer is 100 miles per fulfilled reservation, but this has been periodically upsized to 150-200 miles during festive periods.
Quandoo has now brought back the 150 miles per reservation offer once again, which could be useful for those planning to book restaurants over the festive period.
Earn 150 KrisFlyer miles per Quandoo reservation
|Quandoo x KrisFlyer
From 4 December 2023 to 9 January 2024, Quandoo users will earn 150 KrisFlyer miles per completed reservation, a 50% increase from the usual 100 KrisFlyer miles.
For avoidance of doubt, your reservation must be booked and fulfilled during this period. If your booking was made prior to 4 December 2023, you’ll need to cancel and rebook to enjoy the 150 miles offer.
In order to earn KrisFlyer miles via Quandoo, you’ll need to first link your accounts. You can do this by logging into your Quandoo account on your desktop browser and clicking on Profile at the top right of the screen.
Scroll down until you see the Partnerships section. Here’s where you’ll add your KrisFlyer account details.
That’s it! You’ll now earn the upsized 150 KrisFlyer miles per completed restaurant booking. Do note that this is in lieu of the usual 100 Quandoo points; should you wish to switch back to earning Quandoo points, simply unlink your KrisFlyer account.
Quandoo points can normally be redeemed for cashback at a rate of 1,000 points = S$15 (they literally credit money into your bank account), so by opting for KrisFlyer miles you’re forgoing S$1.50.
This means the opportunity cost is 1 cent per mile. Remember, you need a minimum of 1,000 Quandoo points (10 reservations) before you can cash out. The KrisFlyer miles option lets you cash out after each completed reservation.
|🍴 Earning additional Quandoo points
|You can still earn the usual 50 points for completing a restaurant review post dining, even if you choose to earn KrisFlyer miles.
All KrisFlyer miles earned via Quandoo will be credited to your account within 10 days of dining at the restaurant, with no transfer fees.
Reservations made using the Quandoo widget on a restaurant’s website, on third party websites (including those that are “powered by Quandoo” or “in partnership with Quandoo”) are not eligible for KrisFlyer miles. In other words, book your reservations via the Quandoo website or mobile app to be safe.
You may remember that KrisFlyer members can also earn 100 KrisPay miles per completed restaurant reservation with Makan+, so outside of this promotion, what’s the draw of Quandoo?
In a word, geographical reach. You can earn KrisFlyer miles when booking Quandoo restaurant reservations whether in Singapore, or in:
- Hong Kong
- New Zealand
- United Kingdom
