Standard Chartered offers complimentary Priority Pass lounge access to selected cardholders and banking customers.
However, the benefit can be confusing because the rules aren’t consistent across products. In some cases, visits can be shared with multiple guests, but in others, only a single guest is permitted. Some entitlements are tracked by calendar year, while others follow the membership year. And if you’re a StanChart Priority Private customer, bringing a guest costs the same number of visits as going solo (not that I’m complaining, mind you!).
In this post, I’ll break down the access rules governing each card or account that comes with Priority Pass access.

StanChart Beyond Card

The StanChart Beyond Card offers unlimited Priority Pass visits to the principal cardholder and up to four supplementary cardholders.
Up to six guests can be brought per calendar year. This quota is shared among all principal and supplementary cards. For example:
- If the principal cardholder visits the lounge with one guest, the principal cardholder and all other supplementary cardholders will have five guest visits left for the rest of the calendar year
- If supplementary cardholder A visits the lounge with four guests, the principal cardholder and all other supplementary cardholders will have two guest visits left for the rest of the calendar year
With this card specifically, access to Priority Pass lounges is through the physical StanChart Beyond Card. This is part of the AoPC (Access on Physical Card) programme, and is distinct from the rest of the Standard Chartered line-up (where you’ll need to show a physical or digital Priority Pass membership card to gain access).
StanChart Visa Infinite

The StanChart Visa Infinite offers six Priority Pass visits per membership year to the principal cardholder. These visits can be shared with multiple guests.
There was some confusion about this because Standard Chartered’s Priority Pass FAQs state that only one guest per visit is permitted for StanChart Visa Infinite cardholders.
|
16. Can I bring a guest into the airport lounge with me? Yes, you are allowed to admit one guest only under your complimentary visit entitlements. Please note that your guest will be considered as utilising 1 complimentary visit. (I.e., you and your guest will count as two complimentary visits for that one visit.)
|
However, the StanChart Visa Infinite T&Cs seem to suggest the possibility of multiple guests per visit.
|
6. The Free Visits defined in clause 5 above comprises visits by the Principal VI Cardholder as well as visits by any guest that the Principal VI Cardholder chooses to bring to the lounge. Each accompanying guest counts as one (1) visit. For illustration, if a Principal VI Cardholder is accompanied by two of his/her guests, it will count as three (3) complimentary visits. Any additional visits by a Principal VI Cardholder and/or his/her guests beyond such Principal VI Cardholder’s complimentary entitlement will be chargeable as per clause 7. |
I reached out to Standard Chartered for clarification, and was told that under normal circumstances, only one guest is allowed per visit. However, during the “promotional period” stated in the T&Cs, cardholders can bring multiple guests and utilise the corresponding number of visits.
It’s a little strange because I was under the impression that the promotional period referred to the sign-up bonus, and not the Priority Pass benefit. That said, if you look carefully at the T&Cs, the Priority Pass benefit is referred to as “Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Priority Pass Promotion”.
The promotional period is currently set to run until 30 June 2026, though it has historically been extended multiple times.
Single guest only
StanChart Journey Card

The StanChart Journey Card offers two Priority Pass visits per membership year to the principal cardholder.
These visits can be shared with guests, but given the limit, it’s not possible to bring more than one guest anyway.
StanChart Priority Banking

StanChart Priority Banking customers who maintain a minimum AUM of S$200,000 over the past 12 months will receive 12 Priority Pass visits per membership year.
If they fail to meet the minimum AUM, they will receive two Priority Pass visits per membership year.
| Tier | Visits | Remarks |
| S$200K AUM or more | 12 Per M. Year |
Max 1 guest per visit |
| Less than S$200K AUM | 2 Per M. Year |
Max 1 guest per visit |
Regardless of which tier they fall into, these visits can be shared with a maximum of one guest each time. If a customer brings more than one guest, they will be charged US$35 per additional guest beyond the one guest allowance, even if they have sufficient visits otherwise.
StanChart Priority Private

| ❓Yes, it’s confusing |
| Despite the name, the StanChart Priority Banking Visa Infinite is for both Priority Banking and Priority Private customers. There is no such thing as a StanChart Priority Private Visa Infinite! |
StanChart Priority Private customers who maintain a minimum AUM of S$1.5M over the past 12 months will receive 24 Priority Pass visits per membership year.
These visits can be shared with a maximum of one guest each time. If a customer brings more than one guest, they will be charged US$35 per additional guest beyond the one guest allowance, even if they have sufficient visits otherwise.
Now here’s the really interesting part: regardless of whether you visit the lounge solo or with a guest, one visit is deducted.
To put it another way:
- Visit solo: One visit deducted
- Visit with one guest: One visit deducted
It sounds odd, but it’s been confirmed both by Standard Chartered officially, and with real-world testing. This means you should always bring a guest with you, whenever possible (technically you’re not allowed to use more than one visit if you only have a single boarding pass, though some restaurants don’t really care).
Wealth holding requirement

With effect from 15 August 2025, both Priority Private and Priority Banking customers must satisfy the “active wealth holding” requirement before they qualify for complimentary Priority Pass visits.
Here’s how Standard Chartered defines the term.
|
Clients with active Wealth holdings are defined as clients who hold either an Eligible Investment Product(s) or Eligible Insurance Product purchased through the bank. Eligible Investment Product(s) as defined by the Bank refers to Structured Products, Fixed Income Products, Unit Trusts and Equity Holdings. Foreign Currency Deposits are not considered as Investment Products. |
The good news is that you don’t have to buy overpriced investment or insurance products to qualify. Equity holdings are included, and there is no minimum amount necessary, so in theory, holding one share in a random company would satisfy the requirement.
No restriction on non-lounge experiences

While we’re on the topic of Priority Pass, it’s worth mentioning that Priority Pass memberships issued by Standard Chartered have no restrictions on non-lounge experiences, such as restaurants, spa treatments and rest pods.
Members are free to redeem their visits at these venues if they wish.

The only issuer in Singapore which currently imposes restrictions on non-lounge experiences is American Express.
Conclusion
Standard Chartered’s Priority Pass rules are confusing because they’re not consistent across products, but hopefully this will straighten things out.
A simple rule of thumb is that you can bring multiple guests unless your Priority Pass is by virtue of Priority Private or Priority Banking status, in which case you’re capped at one. And if you’re a Priority Private customer, try to bring a guest whenever possible— it costs the same number of visits anyway!
Thanks for the detailed write up. I signed up for SC Visa Infinite last week, still waiting for Priority Pass unique code to be sent via SMS (within 14 working days). Will update if unable to bring more than 1 guest.
