Excellent rate: Capitol Kempinski breakfast-included staycation from $319 nett (with F&B credits)

Last month, Capitol Kempinski offered a Klook 6th Birthday Promo rate of just S$265 nett. That deal didn’t last too long, disappearing in a matter of hours as rooms were snapped up. 

But if you missed out on that, never fear. There’s an even better deal running right now, valid for stays all the way till 31 March 2021.

Capitol Kempinski October Sale

This rate starts from S$301++ for a Classic Room, but if you’re a GHA member (free-to-join), the price comes down to as low as S$270.90++ (S$319 nett) per night. 

Considering all the inclusions, this is even better than what we saw last month. The Klook 6th Birthday Promo cost S$265 nett, but once you factored in breakfast the overall price increased to S$350 nett. 

In contrast, the “real price” of the October Special is S$281 nett- significantly lower than anything else we’ve seen. Do note that it’s also possible to book higher category rooms with similar discounts, all the way up to a Stamford Suite. 

I’ve not looked at every last date in the calendar, but I managed to find quite a few dates in January 2021 with the S$270.90++ rate:

• 19-20 Jan
• 20-21 Jan
• 21-22 Jan
• 25-26 Jan
• 27-28 Jan

If that’s too far out, I found a couple of dates in October 2020 with a S$283.50++ rate :

Basically, so long as the rate you find is cheaper than S$329++, you’ll do better than the previous Klook 6th Birthday sale (after factoring in the cost of breakfast and relevant F&B discounts/credits). 

What’s the staycation experience at the Capitol Kempinski like?

In a word, excellent. I still hold the Capitol Kempinski to be the best staycation experience I’ve had so far during Phase 2, and based on other reports in the Telegram Group, I’m not alone. The service is impeccable, the rooms are well-appointed, and the breakfast is so good you’ll want to go back again and again. 

The main Achilles heel for the property right now is its facilities. Both the pool and gym are undergoing renovations at the moment, and the temporary options are not quite the same- a penthouse pool in the neighboring Eden Residences, and a guest room temporarily converted into a fitness center. 

Renovations were supposed to be completed by the end of September, although that timeline has slipped and there’s no official word yet on when the pool and gym will reopen. If this makes or breaks your staycation, it may be a safer bet to aim for January next year. 

Apart from that the rest of the staycation experience is lovely, and the current prices on offer simply sweeten the deal. 

Conclusion

Capitol Kempinski’s latest sale lets you book staycations up till March 2021, with the best prices coming in January 2021. These are among the lowest I’ve ever seen for this hotel, and a no-brainer if you’ve been hoping to stay here.
