Klook National Day Sale: 1-for-1 deals at Pan Pacific Suites & PARKROYAL COLLECTION (plus S$56 off with GrabPay)

Klook will be launching its National Day sale at midnight tonight, which runs until 1 August 2021.

During this period, the Pan Pacific Hotel Group will be offering 1-for-1 nights at three different properties, as well as its popular 100% dining credits rate (which rebates the entire room rate as F&B credit).

These packages are eligible for SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV), and those who spend at least S$50 of SRV will receive a S$50 Klook voucher for a future staycation (valid with min. spend of S$200).

Speaking of which, Citibank, DBS, OCBC and UOB will be refreshing their monthly promo codes on 1 August for those paying with SRV. Customers can save S$10 off a min. surplus spend of S$150, or S$50 off a min. surplus spend of S$400. 

Even if you’ve finished all your SRV, customers who use GrabPay can enjoy a further S$56 off packages labelled with [HPBD SG], [National Day Promo] or [PPHG 72H Sales]. A minimum spend of S$150 is required. 

The GrabPay promo code will be released here at 12 p.m daily from 30 July to 22 August 2021, and is limited to the first 15 checkouts each day.

Let’s look at each of these rates in more detail.

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering has previously offered Urban Rooms at S$140 nett per night, so I wouldn’t call S$360 nett for two nights the deal of the century. 

That said, a single night in a COLLECTION Club Room normally sells for about S$400 nett, so S$320 nett might be a decent deal (particularly if you can snag the S$56 off voucher for GrabPay users). 

Getting 100% of your room rate back in F&B credits is hard to argue with, since you basically commit to spend S$400 with the hotel in exchange for a free room. Do note that you’ll still enjoy S$400 worth of F&B credits even if you use a voucher to reduce the nett price that you pay. 

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay

I’m not sure I’d pay S$680 nett for two nights in a Club Room, given what I’ve read from Matthew’s recent review. The F&B offerings at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering’s club are much superior (they have champagne!), and if a club room goes for S$320 nett per night there, I don’t see why I should pay S$680 nett for two nights here. 

The 100% F&B credit rate is also available at this hotel, and compared to Pickering, you have way more options for spending the credits here, be it Peach Blossoms, Peppermint or the Atrium Lounge. 

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road

Klook is offering two nights in a 1-BR Deluxe Suite for S$380 nett, with a one-category upgrade to a 1-BR Executive Suite if you stay from Monday to Thursday. 

Traveloka is selling a 1-BR Executive Suite for S$275, so you’re saving about 30% in reality. I’m not convinced it’s a great deal, given that the Deluxe and Executive Suites are the same size at 45sqm. 

Conclusion

With Singapore under Phase 2 (HA) conditions until 18 August at least, be advised that your staycation experience will be a little different. The most notable differences will be the absence of dining-in and the closure of gyms, although swimming pools will operate as per normal.
