HSBC’s latest WOW Weekend staycation sale is back again from 17-19 September 2021. Bookings go live at midnight tonight, with special deals for the first 50 customers in each category.
Participating properties this time round include the Fullerton Hotel Singapore, Goodwood Park Hotel, and Shangri-La Singapore.

I stayed at The Fullerton Hotel last year, and while breakfast was a let down, the renovated rooms, service and atmosphere were top drawer. It’s a gorgeous hotel for anyone looking to snap some nice staycation photos.

I stayed at the Goodwood Park Hotel back in August, and it was much better than expected. The rooms (at least the Deluxe Premier and Junior Suite) were surprisingly modern, the service was excellent, and the Taiwanese porridge buffet at Coffee Lounge is a great way to spend your F&B credits.

I’d say this is a very good rate for the Shangri-La Singapore, especially for those with kids. This hotel is one of the most kid-friendly resorts in Singapore, with a mini water park and a kids club with all-day activities for the younglings. You can check out my review of the Garden Wing here.

25% off Agoda staycation bookings

From 17-19 September 2021, HSBC cardholders will receive 25% off staycation bookings made through Agoda, for stays completed by 31 December 2021.
All bookings must be made via this link and paid for with a HSBC credit card. This offer only applies to “promotion eligible” hotels, for rates that are fully paid for online. “Promotion eligible” hotels can be identified by a tag on their listing as shown below.
Once you’ve chosen a “promotion eligible” hotel, be sure to book a “promotion eligible” rate too. Remember: any rate which you pay at the hotel is not eligible; you’ll need to pay online via Agoda.
The 25% discount only applies to the room rate (excluding taxes). Be advised that you may sometimes find better deals when booking via the hotel’s official website, or additional perks like dining credits and free breakfast.
Conclusion
The Fullerton, Goodwood and Shangri-La deals go live at midnight, but the first two can be booked by email so there’s no need to stay up late. Simply compose your email (be sure to state dates, number of adults and children, your full name and contact number- don’t worry about card details, that will be settled separately) and set Outlook to auto-send it at 12 a.m.
Final point: as these deals are booked directly with the hotel, SingapoRediscovers Vouchers cannot be used. On the plus side, you’ll earn hotel points or elite credits where applicable.
Which is the email for the SHangri La deal? I can only see a booking link.
The HSBC Agoda discount never works, not on the app or desktop. No properties show up even with different dates.
