KrisFlyer recently added its 10 millionth member worldwide, and to mark the occasion, Singapore Airlines has launched a month-long series of promotions featuring discounts on award flights, bonuses on mileage accruals, and various conversion bonuses.
I already published an overview of the different promotions yesterday, and now I want to take a closer look at the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale. This offers a 20% discount on all Economy Class awards across the SIA network, as well as selected Premium Economy Class awards between Singapore and the USA.
To take advantage of this promotion, you must book your tickets by 23 March 2025, with travel between 1 May and 15 November 2025. For the avoidance of doubt, this sale does not replace KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes, which will be released on 14 March 2025, and cover travel between 1-30 April 2025 (KrisFlyerโs social media channels were strongly hinting at an early launch this month, but alas).
Save 20% off all Economy and selected Premium Economy awards
Here are the key details of the KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale:
- Economy Saver awards: Save 20% off all Singapore Airlines flights
- Premium Economy Saver awards: Save 20% off selected Singapore Airlines flights to San Francisco, New York JFK, and Newark
- Tickets must be issued between 7 March 2025 (9.30 a.m SGT) and 23 March 2025 (11.59 p.m SGT)
- Travel must take place between 1 May 2025 and 15 November 2025
While any discount is welcome, itโs worth noting that this is actually lower than the 25% discount we saw during the last KrisFlyer Global Redemption Sale in September 2024 (which also included Business Class).
A 20% discount is also smaller than the 30% discount we see with Spontaneous Escapes, but the key advantage here is a longer travel period of 6.5 months, versus just the following month with Spontaneous Escapes.
These awards can only be booked on SingaporeAir.com or the SingaporeAir mobile app. You should see the discounted price reflected on the booking page.
Itโs also important to highlight that these awards fall under the Promo award category. This means that just like Spontaneous Escapes, all awards will be strictly non-changeable and non-cancellable. Also note that Promo awards cannot be waitlisted; theyโre either available or they arenโt.

20% off Economy Saver awards

Singapore Airlines is offering 20% off Economy Saver awards on all flights, and they really mean all. It doesnโt matter where youโre going; so long as itโs in Economy Class, a 20% discount is yours.
Now, to pre-empt some confusion, the table below is meant to illustrate blackout periods, not eligible flights. For example, you wonโt find San Francisco or Seattle listed. That simply means theyโre available at 20% off, with no blackout dates. At the risk of belaboring the point, all Economy Class flights are discounted.
If thereโs a city you want to visit but donโt see in the table above, refer to the chart below for how much you can expect to pay.

20% off Premium Economy Saver awards

Singapore Airlines is also offering 20% off Premium Economy Saver awards, but the selection here is much smaller, as the discount is only valid for flights between Singapore and San Francisco, New York JFK, and Newark.
I generally donโt advise redeeming miles for Premium Economy Class, since the price gap between Business Class is relatively small compared to the comfort gap. However, at 20% off, I can imagine thereโd be some willing to bite.
Spontaneous Escapes is still coming
KrisFlyerโs social media pages were strongly hinting that Spontaneous Escapes would launch on the 7th as well, but we now know that itโs sticking to the usual mid-month launch cycle.
Spontaneous Escapes will go live on 14 March 2025, and with Singapore Airlines teasing a โlike never beforeโ edition this month, many are hoping the discount will be larger than the usual 30%.
In case you were curious, hereโs a brief recap of the โnon-standardโ Spontaneous Escapes weโve seen in the past:
- February 2019: 50% off Economy Saver awards, and Business Saver awards at Economy Saver rates (45-60% off depending on route)
- January 2020: A blockbuster 51% off all awardsโฆthen COVID happened
- March 2022: After a two-year hiatus, Spontaneous Escapes made a return with the usual 30% discount, but an extended travel period for April and May 2022
- August 2023: The usual 30% discount, but with an additional 5% milesback for KrisFlyer UOB Credit and Debit Cardholders
- February 2024: KrisFlyer marked its 25th anniversary with the usual 30% discount, but an extended travel period for March and April 2024. KrisFlyer UOB Credit and Debit Cardholders got 5% milesback again
What we do know is that the travel period will still be limited to the following month, i.e. 1-30 April 2025. There was some speculation that an extended travel period might be on the cards, but I guess thatโs what the Economy/Premium Economy sale is meant to cover.
If youโre new to all this, or simply need a refresher on the basics, be sure to check out my detailed guide to Spontaneous Escapes. Also be sure to check out KrisFlyer SEAT, a nifty tool thatโs compiled every edition of Spontaneous Escapes to date- itโs useful when planning for future months!

Stay tuned to MileLion Roars and Iโll drop an update when the full list of destinations is out.
Conclusion
Singapore Airlines is now offering a 20% discount off all Economy Saver awards across its network, as well as 20% off Premium Economy Saver awards for San Francisco, New York JFK and Newark.
Youโll need to book your tickets by 23 March 2025 to enjoy the discounted rates, but the good news is that travel can take place anytime in the 198-day period spanning 1 May to 15 November 2025.
If you were hoping for Business Class discounts, however, youโll need to wait one more week until Spontaneous Escapes goes live on 14 March 2025. Singapore Airlines is teasing a bigger edition this month, so hopefully it doesnโt disappoint!
Maybe Iโm reading the table wrong, but this doesnโt seem correct:-
Singapore to Adelaide
24,400-
4 April โ 4 May 2025, 30 May โ 22 June 2025, 4 July โ 3 August 2025, 26 September โ 31 October 2025
I can see SIN-ADL promo flights for 24,400 between 30 May โ 22 June 2025, 4 July โ 3 August 2025 and 26 September โ 31 October 2025 โ the only blackout dates seem to be 4 April โ 4 May 2025.
For those interested in the USA premium econ discounted redemptions, I would recommend checking out the cash price of the same flights you are looking at. SQ has a promo ongoing for these destinations, and you can get return prem econ to new York as low as 1650 SGD. Depending on your value of each mile, there can be almost negligible savings from the redemption if you consider additional mile accrual from a cash flight.
Yes I agree. The non-stop flights to New York often had promotions when the premium economy seats were at about the same price as economy seats via the Frankfurt stopover route.
