One of the biggest perks of an ALL Accor+ Explorer membership is the Stay Plus benefit, which offers two 1-for-1 night certificates at participating Accor hotels across Asia Pacific every year.

Maximising this perk is key to recouping your membership fee (or credit card annual fee, if that’s how you got your membership), so you’ll want to be strategic about this. In other words, think Sofitel, not Novotel, or maybe even the Raffles Sentosa!

In this post, I’ll run through everything you need to know about the Stay Plus benefit.
How does the new Stay Plus compare to the old Stay Plus?

If you were part of the legacy Accor Plus programme, it’s important to understand how the Stay Plus benefit has changed with the transition to ALL Accor+ Explorer.

Prior to 1 October 2025, Accor Plus Explorer and Explorer Plus members received one and two Stay Plus certificates respectively. Each certificate could be redeemed for a single-night free stay, or combined with a multi-night paid booking.
From 1 October 2025, ALL Accor+ Explorer members (the programme only has a single tier now) receive two Stay Plus certificates. Each certificate can only be used in conjunction with at least one paid night.
As a transitional measure, any unredeemed old Stay Plus certificates were converted into new Stay Plus certificates on 1 October 2025 at a 1:2 ratio.
Stay Plus continues to cover the most expensive night in the booking, but it’s a negative change because instead of a free night, it’s now a 1-for-1 discount. To compensate for this, Accor has promised better Stay Plus availability with the revamped programme, through the removal of so-called “allocations”.
|
Q: Will the new Stay Plus FREE Night be subject to allocation and availability? A: With the upgraded ALL Accor+ Explorer programme, the Stay Plus FREE Night benefit has seen some improvements, so it’s no longer subject to or limited by allocation. This means you can enjoy this benefit more freely, whenever and wherever you like. Just a quick note, though: the new Stay Plus FREE Night benefit does require a minimum stay of two nights, with at least one of those being a paid night. Please note: Blackout dates are applicable and can be found here: Accor Blackout dates |
I have clarified that this doesn’t mean last room availability, because capacity controls and blackout dates still remain. However, Accor claims that Stay Plus availability is now aligned more closely with rooms offered for public sale.
Booking your Stay Plus night
To book a Stay Plus night, log in to your Accor account and visit the search page. Toggle the Stay Plus button, and book a stay of at least two nights (a small number of properties require a minimum of three nights, see below for more details).

| 👍 Wider search options |
| If you’re not fussy about where you stay, Accor’s search engine lets you enter entire regions, like Southeast Asia. So at one glance, I can see all the properties around the region where my Stay Plus night is valid. |
On the next screen, you’ll see the list of hotels with Stay Plus availability for the nights you’ve requested.

If the property you want does not show any availability, you can try clicking on “See availability” to pull up a rate calendar to browse other dates.

Once you’ve selected your hotel, you’ll then need to select a room type.

You don’t necessarily have to book the lowest room type, you can book higher category rooms or even suites. However, the Stay Plus savings are based on a standard room, so if you choose a more expensive room, you’ll need to top up the difference.
For example, at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, the standard room is a Classic Room. The first night is the more expensive night, so it’s removed from the bill.

If I choose a Prestige Suite instead, the savings from the standard room are used to offset the cost of the second night (which in this case is the more expensive of the two). You can see the second night has been discounted, but there’s still a balance to pay.

Once you’ve chosen the room type, you’ll need to pick a rate. You can combine Stay Plus with any available rate, even Red Hot Rooms. Do note that the rate quoted already reflects the free night, so what you see is what you pay (plus taxes and service charge, where applicable).

After selecting a rate, complete your booking as per normal.
When must Stay Plus nights be used by?
The Stay Plus nights must be booked and stayed before the membership year is finished.
To illustrate, if your ALL Accor+ Explorer membership expires on 30 September 2026, your Stay Plus booking (both free and paid nights) must be completed (i.e. check-out) before that date.
What if I cancel a Stay Plus booking?
If you cancel a Stay Plus booking, your certificate will be refunded to your account, provided you booked a refundable rate. It may take up to 24 hours for the Stay Plus certificate to be restored.
If you booked a non-refundable rate like Red Hot Rooms, or if you cancel beyond the free cancellation deadline, you will lose your Stay Plus certificate when cancelling the booking.
How do I check blackout dates?
Stay Plus nights cannot be used on blackout dates, which can be found here.
The search interface asks you to enter a date range, but there’s really no limit, so you can request the dates for an entire year.

Do remember that even if the date in question is not a blackout date, you may not be able to use Stay Plus due to capacity controls.
Where does Stay Plus require a minimum of three nights?

The Stay Plus free night benefit normally requires a minimum stay of two nights, but certain brands, locations and properties require a minimum stay of three nights.
- Extended Stay and Apartment Brands
Art Series, Peppers, Quay West, Grand Mercure, The Sebel, Mantra, BreakFree - Remote Island or Remote Destinations
Fiji, French Polynesia, Maldives, and Uluru in Australia - Australia
- Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort and Spa
- Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort and Spa
- Pullman Bunker Bay Resort Margaret River Region
- Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour
- Pullman Magenta Shores Resort
Where is Stay Plus unavailable?

The Stay Plus benefit is not available at:
- The Banyan Group including Banyan Tree, Angsana, Garrya, Cassia, Dhawa, Homm
- Faena, 21c Museum Hotels, Delano, JO&JOE, Morgans Originals, SLS, The Hoxton, Mantis, The House of Originals, Hotel F1
- Pullman Maldives All-Inclusive Resort
- Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort
Raffles Singapore has limited Stay Plus night availability per day (I mean, all hotels do, but Accor felt obliged to call this out explicitly so I assume it’s extra limited).
Can I use ALL points for Stay Plus bookings?
Unfortunately, you cannot redeem ALL rewards points to cover the paid night in a Stay Plus booking.
At most, you can use them at check-out to pay for any incidentals or additional charges which occurred during your stay.
Can I use multiple Stay Plus certificates per booking?
ALL Accor+ Explorer members are limited to redeeming one Stay Plus night per booking.
You cannot make back-to-back Stay Plus bookings at the same hotel. I mean, technically you can, but if you show up at a hotel with back-to-back bookings, you will be required to pay the ALL Accor+ Explorer rate for each night of the second booking.
In other words, there must be a gap of at least one night between Stay Plus bookings. For example:
| Night | Stay Plus |
| 7 May 2026 | ✅ Stay Plus Certificate #1 |
| 8 May 2026 | ✅ Stay Plus Certificate #1 |
| 9 May 2026 | Stay at a different hotel |
| 10 May 2026 | ✅ Stay Plus Certificate #2 |
| 11 May 2026 | ✅ Stay Plus Certificate #2 |

Conclusion

The Stay Plus benefit is one of the best features of an ALL Accor+ Explorer membership, and redeeming it for maximum value is key to recovering your membership fee. While it’s no longer a standalone free night, the way it was under Accor Plus, members can now redeem their certificates at a wider range of hotels, with supposedly better availability.
Remember that you need to use your Stay Plus certificates before your membership expires, so it’s a good idea to start planning early in the year.

As at today, only the shitty hotels are participating.
they had more redemption options for the free stay, but this year they’ve pretty much limited the redemption to lower tier rooms.. i managed to redeem a room with lounge access at fairmont sg last year for a top up fee of only 150ish, but this year there wasnt such options anymore.. all rooms with lounge access were full price only, in fact most hotels with lounges do not offer redemption plus top up, only full price.. on the point about multiple night stays tho, i was looking to stay at osaka swissotel from thurs to mon and noticed that… Read more »
There is low season n nigh season, need to book few months ahead and may able to get the free night. In Singapore only Swissotel n Fairmont can be book for the free night, and with a night price tag of more than $400 with tax, it’s a good deal
Been an Accor Plus member for years….now every member given 20 per renewal and fast upgrade to Gold Member after staying 10 paid nights for a calendar year. Always book a free night with a higher end luxury hotel stay.Very worth it!
Last year I got Sofitel legend Hanoi which was a great way to use Stay Plus
It’s extremely difficult to find a decent property in Singapore to use the free stay on at the moment. Even searching 10 months out, you basically can’t get any 5 star hotels for almost all weekends and most weekdays.
The only readily available property is Novotel Stevens.. f me if I’m going to be burning the voucher on that. Will have to think again when valuing the AF I paid on the HF for Accor Plus when renewing next year.
ONLY THE NONSENSE CHEAP HOTELS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SINGAPORE NOW! Do not buy the membership. It is a con job. They kept advertising that you can use it for Sofitel Sentosa on IG ads, but there is zero dates available.
the open calendar view is very helpful. but for me the sad news is that I must booked 6 months in advance for High end hotel such as Sofitel Bali (free with stay plus)
🙁
Stay Plus can book for stay with 3 adults in 1 room ?
Look like they quietly increase a cap to the one night stay, now only around $300 below stay is free. if excess, need to pay for the excess
Hi Aaron, can I use a Stay Plus Night to redeem a suite and top-up as required?
The Open Rate Calendar functionality is now gone.
Using the 2 x Stay Plus cert in the same hotel is possible, you do not need to move to a different hotel as illustrated in post. You can have 2 separate bookings. ie.
Booking 1 –
Night 1 – First Stay Plus Cert
Night 2 – Paid Stay
Booking 2 –
Night 3 – Second Stay Plus Cert
Night 4 – Paid Stay
Did this for my upcoming Japan trip.
I was lucky to be able to use the Stay Plus Benefit to book the Courtyard suite in Raffles Hotel over the Labour day Holiday. I still have to top up $500 for the Stay Plus night but given the fact that the site usually retails for $1500+, it was good value.
