Kempinski Hotels offering bonus D$100 for app bookings

Kempinski Hotels is probably one of the better-known brands under the GHA DISCOVERY umbrella, with The Capitol Kempinski a popular choice for staycationers in Singapore.

Kempinski has just launched an enhanced version of its mobile app, and to mark the occasion, it’s offering a bonus D$100 for app bookings made before Christmas 2023.

Earn D$100 bonus for Kempinski app bookings

From 28 November to 24 December 2023, GHA DISCOVERY members who book stays with Kempinski Hotels will earn a bonus D$100, on top of the regular D$.

No registration is required. The stay must be completed by 31 March 2024, 23:59 Central European Time. If your check-out falls after this date, you will not earn any bonus D$. 

The bonus D$100 will have a validity of six months, just like all D$ awarded under promotions. This is noticeably shorter than the 6-24 month validity granted to base D$. 

Do note that the Kempinski app (Android | iOS) is not the same as the GHA DISCOVERY app. You may need to visit the app store and download a separate app.

While the T&Cs do not explicitly address this, GHA’s comms team has confirmed with me wording that you can enjoy the offer multiple times, provided your stays fall within the relevant period.

Also, even though the promo landing page mentions Kempinski DISCOVERY members, the T&Cs refer to GHA DISCOVERY members in general, so I don’t expect any issues even if Kempinski is not your “home brand”.

Is it worth it?

D$100 is the equivalent of US$100, and this has the potential to be a cracking deal.

For instance, I can find rooms at the Siam Kempinski starting from ~US$245++, and D$100 would take a big chunk out of that. 

Or if you happen to be visiting Jakarta, the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski has rooms as low as US$142++. 

The catch is that you can’t do back-to-back stays at the same property, so there needs to be at least a one day gap between your check-in and check-out dates should you wish to enjoy the offer multiple times.

What credit card should you use for hotel stays?

Kempinski Hotel stays booked directly with the property should code as MCC 7011.

Conclusion

Kempinski is offering a bonus of D$100 for app bookings made by 24 December 2023 and stayed by 31 March 2024. This has the potential to be a great deal, especially if you’re staying at a hotel with lower rates.

Remember to book your hotels via the Kempinski app (and not the GHA DISCOVERY app) to be eligible.
