Hilton Smile Our Sale is Here flash sale – Southeast Asia up to 30% off

It’s sale season at Hilton right now. This one’s especially well-positioned for Singaporeans – Hilton properties across Southeast Asia are now going for up to 30% off Best Available Rate. It appears that the rates are already live, even though the sale officially runs from 4pm SGT, 16 May 2018 to 4pm SGT, 8 June 2018, and is valid for stays completed between 23 May – 31 December 2018.

The discount is offered in the form of 25% off the BAR, with an additional 5% for Hilton Honors members. Advance reservations required, so you probably can’t just do last-minute bookings on this rate.

Where to go? I really enjoyed my stay at Conrad Bali – it’s currently undergoing renovations, and there’s some disagreement on FlyerTalk on exactly how disruptive that is, but personally based on the latest report I wouldn’t worry too much about it (that S$170++ rate doesn’t hurt).

For a discounted staycation option we have Conrad Centennial Singapore – at S$233++ per night that brings the total out-of-pocket damage to about S$275.

Interestingly enough, Conrad Maldives is also offering these rates – June’s actually low season over there, so at S$574++ per night this makes it a rather good opportunity to stay there on a (comparatively) affordable revenue rate, or perhaps to extend an existing award booking.

You’d probably want to make sure you’ve registered for the double points promo that Hilton is running until 31 Aug 2018. If booking beyond that, you’ll just need to hope there’s going to be another promo (based on track record, likely) and remember to register for that! If you’ve not already registered, it’s probably a good idea to sign up for the 2 stay / 4 night Hilton Gold fast track for Visa Signature/Infinite cardholders. Finally, if you’ve got the Citi Prestige Card, you can aim to get a further discount by making use of the complimentary night promotion.

Conclusion

30% is a pretty good deal, though of course I’d be a lot more excited if it were a 40/50% deal. Still, if you’re thinking of making travel plans in the months ahead, especially for the upcoming month of June, it’s certainly worth considering – there are just too many properties to choose from to list meaningfully here, but you can browse the full offerings at the Hilton Southeast Asia page.
