Hilton Summer Family Break flash sale – Up to 25% off Japan, South Korea, Guam & US$50 dining credit per night

Up to 25% off, accompanied by US$50 dining credit per night. Book before 14 Jun 2018, check out between 15 May and 31 August 2018.

(Update: The sale’s been extended till 14 Jun 2018!)

The terms & conditions are pretty hard to find on the main Hilton page (there’s a small link for the “Summer Break Terms & Conditions” at the bottom of the page) – it’s actually easier to refer to theย Hilton Japan websiteย – but you might like to know that Hilton properties across Japan, South Korea and Guam are now going for up to 25% off Best Available Rate. The sale will continue untilย 31 May 2018 1pm SGT, valid for stays completed between 15 May – 31 August 2018.

The discount is offered in the form of 20% off the BAR, with an additional 5% for Hilton Honors members. Additionally, you’ll get about US$50 (or JPY 5,000 / KRW 50,000) of dining credit to use per night; children under 12 also get to enjoy free breakfast.

Among the properties in the region I’ve been to, my personal favourites in would beย Hilton Tokyo Odaibaย (for what I consider to be good value in Tokyo) and, of course, the excellentย Conrad Tokyo

I’ve not been myself, but the FlyerTalk folks seem to really like Conrad Osaka and Conrad Seoul

Possible combos

You’d probably want to make sure you’ve registered for the double points promo that Hilton is running for this period…

If you’ve not already registered, it’s probably a good idea to sign up for the 2 stay / 4 night Hilton Gold fast track for Visa Signature/Infinite cardholders…

Finally, if you’ve got the Citi Prestige Card, you can aim to get a further discount by making use of the complimentary night promotion.

Conclusion

I’m usually not too excited about a 25% hotel sale, but with the US$50 dining credit per night this is a pretty enticing rate. It’s especially worthwhile if you’re booking a cheaper property – e.g. for a US$200 room, you’re also getting 25% of your room cost back in the form of subsidised restaurant meals!

Unfortunately, you may not be able to find your preferred room types on this rate – for instance, I was only able to find (pricier) executive rooms and suites available for Conrad Tokyo. Still, definitely worth a look if you plan to travel to the region during the upcoming months.
