Limited bookings: HSBC staycation deals at Raffles Hotel, Kempinski, Fullerton and more

HSBC’s next WOW Weekend Sale will run from 16-18 July 2021, with limited-quantity deals at Raffles Hotel, Goodwood Park, Capitol Kempinski, Fullerton Hotel and PARKROYAL Collection Pickering.

Each of these is capped at the first 50 bookings, so you might want to stay up late tonight to grab them.

Raffles Hotel Singapore

The first 50 bookings from 16-18 July 2021 will enjoy S$50 off the regular S$950++ (S$1,119 nett) rate for two nights at the Raffles Hotel, with breakfast, a S$50 boutique credit and S$150 F&B credits. 

If you’re outside the first 50, there’s no S$50 discount, but the inclusions stay the same. All bookings are prepaid and non-refundable, and check-in must be from Sunday to Wednesday.

I’d say this is a very good deal, given how the inclusions are largely similar to the Raffles Hotel Suite Vacay, but S$100++ cheaper and with S$50 more F&B credits. In fact, it’s quite close to the S$936 nett deal I booked for the Raffles Hotel back in August, a rate I doubt we’ll ever see again.

Fullerton Hotel Singapore

The first 50 bookings from 16-18 July 2021 will pay S$310++ (S$365 nett) or S$350++ (S$412 nett) for a weekday or weekend stay at in a Heritage Room (one category above the base level), with Straits Club privileges and guaranteed 3 p.m check-out. 

If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$330++ (S$388 nett) or S$370++ (S$435 nett) for weekdays or weekends, so you’re basically paying S$23 more. 

Straits Club benefits include daily Chandon breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapes. For comparison, the largely-similar Club Indulgence rate on the Fullerton’s official website starts from S$342++ (S$403 nett) on weekdays, so there’s still some savings either way.

I stayed at The Fullerton Hotel in August last year, and it’s a fantastic staycation for architecture buffs (don’t worry, the renovated rooms have all the contemporary conveniences). Service was great, breakfast could be better but some sparkling wine goes a long way. 

Capitol Kempinski Singapore

The first 50 bookings from 16-18 July 2021 will pay S$245++ (S$288 nett) for a one night stay in a Classic Room, with breakfast for 2, S$88 of F&B credits, and guaranteed 11 a.m/3 p.m check-in/out on Monday to Thursday.

If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$288++ (S$339 nett) and the F&B credits are reduced to S$38. 

The first 50 rate is fantastic, and I’d book it without hesitation. From the 51st onwards it gets more marginal, although GHA Blacks may still find it attractive for a shot at a Stamford Suite upgrade.

Those who require more space can opt for a Grand Deluxe Room instead, which costs S$325++ (S$383 nett) for the first 50 and S$368++  (S$433 nett) from the 51st onwards. Inclusions remain the same as above.

Goodwood Park Hotel

The first 50 bookings from 16-18 July 2021 will pay S$330++ (S$388 nett) for a one night stay in a Junior Suite, with breakfast for 2, a three-course dinner for 2 and 15% off F&B. 

If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$398++ (S$468 nett), with the same inclusions.

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering

The first 50 bookings from 16-18 July 2021 will pay S$199++ (S$234 nett) or S$209++ (S$246 nett) for a weekday or weekend stay in an Urban Room, with breakfast for 2 and a one-category upgrade to a Lifestyle Room for stays from Monday to Thursday. 

If you’re outside the first 50, the rate increases to S$220++ (S$259 nett) or S$230++ (S$271 nett) for a weekday or weekend stay, with the same inclusions. 

Reservations can be made by emailing reserve.prsps@parkroyalhotels.com. They require full prepayment and are non-refundable.

I’m able to find breakfast-inclusive rates on Traveloka from S$236 nett, however, so don’t feel too bad if you miss out on this deal.

Conclusion

For those bookings which can be made via email, there’s actually no need to stay up late tonight. Simply compose your email (be sure to state dates, number of adults and children, your full name and contact number- don’t worry about card details, that will be settled separately) and set Outlook to auto-send it at the stroke of midnight. 

Final point: as these deals are booked directly with the hotel, SingapoRediscovers Vouchers cannot be used. On the plus side, you’ll earn hotel points or elite credits where applicable.
